1. Marmalade
Starting off with a cafe well-known among those in Bangsar is Marmalade.

This bright spacious cafe located in Bangsar Village II is popular with many for its menu which includes a range from brunch favourites to western and local mains. The pretty interior of the cafe is also much appreciated, as with its efforts to be kid and family-friendly! The cafe has a children’s play area filled with toys and trinkets that are perfect for keeping kids entertained.

2. Namoo On The Park
Namoo On The Park is a cafe located at Publika serving up Korean food and desserts, from well-known favourites such as bibbimbap and tteokbokki, to fusion favourites such as bulgogi beef tacos and their bibirice burger!

3. Wondermilk (Damansara Uptown)
Wondermilk has been on the KL scene for a while and has become a favourite for many! This eatery which started off as a cupcake business has now become a full-fledged cafe, with 3 outlets (in Damansara Uptown, Publika and Citta Mall_ serving savoury meals as well as other sweet treats.

Wondermilk strives to make its spaces family-friendly. All three of its restaurant cafes have kids play areas, with especially nice spacious ones at its Publika and Damansara Uptown outlets. Besides its sweet treats that no kid can resist (like cupcakes, cookies, and their popular flavoured milks), Wondermilk also has a kids menu with pasta in tomato or cheesy sauce, and sausage with fries.

4.Gula Cakery
Looking for somewhere to get your cake and coffee fix with your little one in tow? Gula cakery has you sorted! Starting off as a home-based bakery, Gula Cakery opened a brick-and-mortar store in Kota Kemuning.

You’ll be spoilt for choice at the cafe, where there can be up to 26 types of desserts on the counter! So you can grab a few treats and indulge while your kids enjoy the cute play area. If you’re looking for a full meal, don’t worry, the cafe serves savoury meals to such as pasta dishes and local favourites such as laksa. And here’s some bonus good news: Gula Cakery is currently in the midst of preparing to open a sister-cafe in Setia Alam which also promises to be kid-friendly!

This spacious cafe run by The BIG Group is perfect for groups both large and small, with specially curated Benbino features that are targeted for kids. Besides a cheerfully bright play area complete with slides, small tables and chairs, a mini teepee and other fun stuff, there is also a special kids menu with goodies like tomato macaroni, chicken tenders, and more. 6. Dua by SKöHNS
From the large upscale Ben’s we now go to a lovely and cosy establishment located in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail.

Dua by SKöHNS is a restaurant specialising in local fare (especially Nasi Kerabu!) at affordable prices. Its menu also includes western fare, and they also serve a selection of desserts daily, including desserts and waffles. While the restaurant is located up on the first floor (so you’ll have to carry your stroller up if you have it), there’s a kids area thoughtfully set up in a corner with padded mats, and the cosy ambience and the wonderful food make it worthwhile
The restaurant also offers baking packages for kids that are perfect for an extra fun birthday party!

7. Yellow Brick Road & Wicked Pancake Parlour
Do your kids like pancakes! Well, they’re in for a treat at Yellow Brick Road & Wicked Pancake Parlour located in the upscale enclave of Bukit Damansara.

This 2-in-1 eatery is technically split into two, with Yellow Brick Road on the ground floor and Wicked Pancake Parlour on the first floor, but don’t worry, you can enjoy both their menus (with Yellow Brick Road serving brunch favourites and western mains and pancake parlour serving a variety of pancake dishes both savoury and sweet) whichever floor you’re seated at

With that being said, you may have a vested interest to be seated upstairs, because that’s where their kids’ corner is located! Please do note that the upstairs floor is open slightly later than the ground floor (from 11am onwards on weekdays and 10am on weekends). The cafe can get pretty crowded on weekends, so it’s not a bad idea to be there early!

This cafe, which also houses a batik workshop premise, serves coffee, all-day breakfast and light bites, perfect for a brunch outing. It has an outdoor play area in the garden, while also having an indoor kids playroom upstairs, so there’s plenty to keep the kids entertained

RGB & The Bean Hive is a cafe located in a colonial-style bungalow in a quiet area in the heart of KL.

This cafe is serious about its coffee, with beans roasted in-house. On the food front, the menu is made up of Asian and Western meals, and also includes plenty of healthy options and even vegetarian and vegan fare.
