Thankfully, there are plenty of eateries popping up all the time for us to satisfy our food adventure! And that includes stunning and delicious cafes 😍

1. Merchant’s Lane

Located right beside Petaling Stree (or also known as KL’s Chinatown), this picturesque place is made for the photographer in mind. Its rustic old school decor and amazing natural lighting makes it one of the best places in town to grab a shot for your social media feed 🤩

3. PODGY Kurau

One of the best coffee places in KL, PODGY Kurau is the new home of what used to be known as PODGY & The Banker that was located in Sri Hartamas. And this new location in the hipster part of Bangsar complements PODGY well too.

From its old ‘kopitiam’ tables and chairs to its bare walls, you’ll feel like you have walked back in time when entering this place. 6. Jao Tim

Jao Tim isn’t just a cafe, the place also doubles as an event space and hosts quite a number of activities regularly. Stepping into this  Jao Tim, you’ll feel as if you’ve walked into a New York establishment in the 70s.

Enjoy a good brunch here with their awesome menu too. Take a big bite out of their grilled cheese sandwich, or savour a chicken pie. Better yet, have a go at some of their sweet offerings like their pan au chocolat 🥐

Cake lovers, this is the place for you! Tucked in the middle of a PJ’s cosy neighbourhood, you might miss this place at first glance since it resembles a residence house from the outside. But it’s a whole different atmosphere once you walk inside.

Cakes, everywhere! Enjoy all sorts of cakes from chocolate ganache with salted buttercream, lemon poppyseed butter cake, butter cakes, and even pancakes 🍰

10. Pickle & Fig

Tucked within TTDI’s shop lots is Pickle & Fig. This place has been around for years and remains popular as it did upon opening, and it’s no surprise why. Between its atmosphere and food, customers come back wanting more.

Strangers At 47 is well known for their crepes that are so good you wouldn’t mind having them for breakfast, lunch AND dinner! There are plenty of tasty savoury food too like their spicy cajun chicken and pasta!

Dotty’s Pastries and Coffee is a well-known establishment in TTDI, and they’ve recently opened a new outlet in Menara TH in KL city, Le Petit Dotty! The place boasts chic decor that will awe any customer.

Besides tasty pastries, the one thing you must try is their iconic cronuts! But you have to head there by noon since they start selling at 12pm and tend to sell out FAST!

Tucked away in TTDI’s neighbourhood is Wondermilk’s new venture, Little Rimba. Its Malay name literally translates to Little Jungle in English, and you definitely want to be camera ready for this place 💁‍♀️

Little Rimba’s main cuisine is hearty and scrumptious local Malaysian delights! But if you’re craving for some western meals, they also serve a variety of delicious pasta.

Find funky twists to naming local Malaysian dishes such as Laksa Nyonya Samba Rimba, Lontongku Sayang, and Nasi Lemak Cinta with Ayam Goreng Berempah. Enjoy nostalgic desserts such as Ais Kacang and Cendol Nangka too 🍧!

15. Soul Sacrifice

If you were wondering why the name of this cafe sounds like a rock song, it’s because it isnamed after American rock legend Santana’s instrumental classic. But while you don’t need to part with your soul for a bite at this Desa Pandan joint, there is plenty of soul to be found in the menu offerings! 😌

If you are feeling adventurous, make sure to try Cup of Nations! This amazing dish is a unique take on scotch eggs, which sit on a lovely purple bed of sweet potato mash, surrounded by a pool of creamy leek sauce. A dash of sambal also occupies this soulful creation- definitely appealing to those who can’t do without their spice! 😋

16. Dotty’s

Not only is their display of pastries super pretty, with salted egg everything being the flavour craze of the year, but you also need to check out Dotty’s for their salted egg yolk cronut (which combines two food fads in one!). From what we hear, their speculoos éclair isn’t one to be missed as well 😋

#HHWT Tip: Their salted egg cronuts are released in 3 batches daily, and can be pre-ordered with a minimum of 6 pieces per order. For walk-in customers, purchases are limited to 4 cronuts per person.
