1. Mulmaegol 물메골

Famous for its lotus leaf rice known as yeoipbap, Mulmaegol offers yummy vegetarian food such as rice wrapped cookies, pancakes, tofu and kimichi. The restaurant is owned by a friendly lady – Ms Kim whose warm hospitality and delcious vegetarian food has earned her great reviews by her many patrons. You’re in for a heartful meal served by the best host here!

Address: 795-1, Susan-ri, Aewol-eup, Jeju City (at /near Coastal Road 1132 & Daewonjeongsa Temple, on Jeju Island)
Directions: From the Yeon Wu Nae restaurant, go south on the 1139 until you come to the first freeway intersection. Take a right towards Aewol. Stay on the road for about 15 to 20 minutes until you see a temple on the mountain towards your left. Take a sharp right. It’s the first house on your right.

2. Uribong Sikdang 우리봉식당

Fancy indulging into a Haemul ttukbaegi? It is a seafood hotpot filled with plentiful servings of seafood such as clams, fish and assorted shellfish. Expect to eat a pot full of pipping hot mussels and crabs stew too! This place is great with families as they have a spacious dining area for you to feast on yummy seafood!

3. Doraji Sikdang 도라지식당

Famous for its grilled fish and fish soups, Doraji Sikdang is one of the restaurants you should visit to get a taste of Korean fish soups! They are full of flavour and you get a taste of fresh seafood right in the heart of Jeju!

4. Hwanggane 황가네제주뚝배기

Another korean crusine seafood paradise, Hwanggane is another restaurant that serves haemul ttukbaegi (seafood hotpot)! However, here their specialty is stone bowl rice with multi-colored abalone and seasoned squid with doenjang (soybean paste). Another great muslim friendly restaurant if you’re around the area!

5. Loving Hut

Loving Hut is a vegan chain restaurant known worldwide. Fortunately, they have an outlet in Jeju Island! Here, they serve popular vegetarian Korean dishes such as kimichi and spicy tofu. But if you are craving for some western food, why not try a soy vegan burger? Healthy and halal food = what’s not to love!
