Did you hear? The highly anticipated Twilight Flea & Feast is back again for its second edition! From 2-4 February 2018, make your way down to the Suntec Convention Centre for a day filled with browsing through dozens of flea stalls, attending free movie screenings and of course, sinking your teeth into tasty eats

With over 40 stalls selling comfort street food from all over the world, you probably wouldn’t know where to start! To help you out with your upcoming gastronomic adventure, we’ve listed out our top 5 picks you can’t leave without trying 🤗
1. Chulop
Owned by everyone’s favourite Instagram family, the Syarifs, Chulop has permanent homes in East Village Mall and JCube but has since branched out to being a familiar face at most halal food fiestas in Singapore. Take your pick from classic, deep-fried churros lightly sprinkled with cinnamon (paired with premium dips like Thai Milk Tea, Oreo Cheesecake or Kinder Bueno) or churros with unique toppings!

2. SAIKŌ
A newcomer to the halal food pop up scene, SAIKŌ whips up freshly made Japanese street snacks like your go-to takoyaki. However, think of SAIKŌ as the elevated version of your typical pasar malam takoyaki joint! Using only premium ingredients, you have a choice between octopus or mushrooms for your filling.

Other selections include Classic, Dashi (takoyaki with dashi broth, bonito flakes and scallions) and Miso (takoyaki with miso butter and rice krispies). Top it all off with a perfectly cooked onsen egg for just an additional $2!
3. Broti
You’ll need a nice cold drink to quench your thirst after sampling so many tasty eats! For East siders especially, this next vendor needs no further introduction! These massive cups of milk tea can barely fit the palms of most people’s hands, and at just $4 each, you’ll definitely be getting the most bang for your buck.

If it’s your first time trying Broti, pick from their classic handcrafted Thai Iced Tea, Thai Green Milk Tea or Earl Grey Milk Tea Up for something a little more adventurous? Sip on Broti’s other unique teas and sodas like Matcha Charcoal, Yang Hitam Manis (blackcurrant) and P. Ramlee’s Punch (passion fruit)!
4. Street Submarine
With an event as popular as Twilight, you can certainly expect huge crowds of people scattered all over the venue. If you can’t find a place to sit to enjoy your meal or prefer eating on the go, you need to take a bite of Street Submarine’s amazing light bites! The pop-up stall has taken the ordinary hot dog bun and completely transformed it by incorporating unique, local flavours we all know and love.

Best-sellers include spicy pulled beef, chicken rendang, chilli rendang and crab and prawn! If you’re still feeling peckish, their little bucket of beef or chicken satay fries will surely fill you up.
5. Yummy Takoyaki
This humble Muslim-owned delivery service has been dishing up delicious handmade takoyaki since 2015. Crispy on the outside, yet soft and fluffy on the inside, their takoyaki balls has received rave reviews from all over the island!

Aside from regular fillings like octopus and crab, you can opt to drench your takoyaki bowl with gooey cheese Aptly named cheese banjir, this premium topping is a must for every cheese lover!
