It’s already February and you’re planning your mid-year trip. With more sunshine and perfect weather, most of us will be setting our sights on Europe
Now, you’ve probably heard about the direct train service from London to Paris but guess what, there will soon be a direct service from London to Amsterdam too!

Yes, you read that right. Europe’s high-speed railway service, Eurostar, has just announced that it will run direct train services from London to Amsterdam starting April this year. That’s definitely one more city to explore on your trip to Europe 🤗 Ah, canals, windmills and abundance of halal food, what’s not to love about Amsterdam?

Currently, you can only travel directly by flight between both cities and travelling by train would require you to make a stop at Brussels.
With this new service, the journey between London to Amsterdam will only take you 3 hours and 41 minutes. That’s an hour less than the previous train journey through Brussels and you could get onboard that train at an affordable fare of just £35 one way (approx. USD49). So that means more time for you to do your last minute shopping and sightseeing in London!

The best part about this train service is that it brings you conveniently from London’s St. Pancras Station to Amsterdam’s Centraal Station. That means you’ll travel directly to both city centres without the hassle of airport transfers. The train will also make a stop at Rotterdam where you can connect to other Dutch cities.
And if that’s not enough, there is also free wi-fi and power sockets so you will never get bored on the train ride. Tickets go on sale on 20 February, so time to get cracking and plan that dream Europe vacation!
Note: The direct train service will only be available one-way from London to Amsterdam. Travellers who are coming back from Amsterdam will still have to transfer at Brussels
