1. La Pastificio – The Pasta Shop
This casual Italian restaurant at Sembawang Shopping Centre is the ideal joint for all your large family gatherings. With an extensive menu from entrees to pastas, soups to pizzas, light bites to all-day breakfast, there sure is something for even the fussiest of eaters here.

Besides the scrumptious food, there are two main aspects at La Pastificio that makes the restaurant kid-friendly: availability of a kid’s menu as well as a play area! The choices for kids’ meals are either nuggets or fried/grilled chicken/fish and each meal is served with fries, a drink and pasta/rice.

While the “Kid’s Corner” is nothing fancier than a small allocated space, it is carpeted and has a few toys to keep young diners entertained at least for a casual meal time.

For parents who wish to shop for an hour without losing their child to the crowds in this megastore, there is the option to drop their younglings off at IKEA’s own indoor play area. Do note that this is a paid play area and every child needs to meet a set of requirements (like height and age) before gaining admission.

The Royals Café is a casual and cosy eatery that serves up both Western and local delights.
