We’ve seen countless of huge Chinese seafood restaurants with fancy turn tables and busy staff communicating with one another through their walkies. To our disappointment, many of these restaurants are not halal 
Well, Home of Seafood is here to the rescue! Don’t miss out on their award-winning Chilli Crab which has fresh juicy crabs coated in a thick and sweet chilli sauce and has just the right amount of spice. 2. Tang Tea House
You can always rely on Tang Tea House if you’re looking to satisfy your dim sum fix. With halal favourites like their Shanghai steamed dumplings, Siew Mai, Har Kow and their famous Golden Sand Pau (salted egg yolk pau), you’re all set for a scrumptious meal 🤗

If you live in the east, chances are Mak’s Place will ring a bell to you and that’s because of their authentic and affordable halal Chinese cuisine! In a sea of many halal eateries around the Changi Road area, Mak’s Place stands out for its delicious food. 4. Nuodle
This recently halal-certified noodle restaurant is the place to head to for their authentic Chinese hand-pulled noodles! It’s a specialty dish that arrived straight from Lan Zhou, in China’s northwest. With over 30 stores found in different provinces in China, you know you’re missing out if you don’t drop by.

If you could try any dish in Nuodle, it has to be their signature Beef La Mian. For those who love soupy dishes, this broth is tasty but not too overwhelming. The handmade noodles are springy and chewy and has thinly sliced beef in a bowl of herbal broth. Top that with a spoonful of chilli oil and your meal is complete. Sounds like the best thing to eat on a rainy day 🤤

Another dish you can’t miss out on is their Beef Pancake. It looks almost like a flat curry puff and has a flaky crust with copious amounts of tantalising beef inside. This pancake is perfect as a side dish as you’re slurping the la mian’s delicious broth!

5. Habib Family Restaurant
We’ve always seen countless Bak Kut Teh stalls with queues winding down the block. And even those dried Bak Kut Teh spices they’re selling in grocery stores. Bak Kut Teh is traditionally known for having pork but thanks to Habib Family Restaurant, you can now have the opportunity to savour halal Bak Kut Teh! For the uninitiated, “bak kut teh” actually means “meat bone tea” though it actually doesn’t have any tea in it

Located in Bukit Batok, Habib’s Bak Kut Teh is something every adventurous foodie should try. You may opt for their beef or lamb Bak Kut Teh and have it on its own or in a set which comes with rice, omelette, kang kong and chilli paste. This will be a peculiar experience for your taste buds, especially when the only thing you’ve ever related to Bak Kut Teh is the non-halal version.
Their Chinese chef and co-owner uses traditional herbs to cook the broth, so this dish is as authentic as it gets!

6. The Dim Sum Place
A sister company of the popular Ramen Stall, The Dim Sum Place serves halal Cantonese-style dishes and of course, dim sum. Literally across the road from The Ramen Stall, it’s a trendy place to hang out on your Friday nights! With so many food options here, there has to be something new that you have yet to savour

7. Deanna’s Kitchen
A prominent name whenever you mention prawn noodles – Deanna’s Kitchen! They’re loved by many for their specialty prawn mee. Owned by a Chinese Muslim revert, Deanna, and her husband, their first branch is in Toa Payoh (it’s now under renovation and will be reopening on 7th August). After their recurring success, they’ve now opened a new stall in Jurong, so West-siders, you don’t have to travel so far to get your fix of their heavenly prawn mee

Savour their huge prawn noodles topped with clams (if you wish!) and drowned in thick homemade broth, which is a hawker classic made halal by their owner! Head down to Segar Restaurant when you find yourself stuck in Chinatown, with no idea of where to go. Offering good authentic zi char at economical prices, it’s a good joint to go to if you’re in a large group.

9. 786 Char Kway Teow
A definite hawker classic, Char Kway Teow (CKT) can be found all across Singapore but due to the use of lard in most of them, it’s hard to find good halal ones! Lucky for us, 786 Char Kway Teow lets Muslims taste the authentic taste of this yummy dish. It’s owned by a Chinese Muslim revert, so you know it tastes as good as the real thing

Serving only CKT, the stall has two different portion sizes; $3 and $5. The stall has managed to keep its dishes simple and prices affordable. With an additional cost of $1, you’ll be able to add on more cockles! How beautiful is it to have super yummy food at an even more attractive price?

10. Yumen Hut
Pretty much every young and broke east-sider’s favourite ban mian stall, Yumen Hut! Originally located at E!hub in Downtown East, this was a humble noodle store that started back in the mid-2000s and it was constantly filled with patrons. Now they have expanded and pretty much double their size by not only taking over the store next to theirs but also opened up a new outlet in the newly upgraded Market Square in Downtown East

They serve a wide variety of speciality noodles; ban mian, la mian, you mian, ramen and mee hoon kuay. You name it, they have it. Their signature dish has got to be the chicken ban mian. It consists of their soft and chewy ban mian in flavourful soup with delectable chicken slices, topped with a runny egg Finish off your meal with their aloe vera drink. The best part is, an average bowl of noodles in Yumen Hut costs nothing more than $5! Nothing beats the feeling of having a full tummy and knowing that you didn’t have to break the bank paying for it.

11. Yi Zun Noodle
Another leading restaurant when you think of authentic beef noodles from China – Yi Zun! Established by a Chinese-Muslim couple from China, you know it doesn’t get any more authentic than this. Tucked along the streets of Farrer Park, this humble store is a hidden gem!

Serving their special of either beef or chicken noodle, it’s best to come down on an empty stomach as they’re generous with their serving size. You’ll be able to see the noodles being pulled right in the store through a small window. Noodles submerged in broth with ample slices of chicken or beef, this bowl of goodness is bound to hit the spot

Their best-selling dessert is the Durian Shake with Durian Flesh (also known as durian smoothie) Durian lovers will revel at this thick shake. Not many are fans of this pungent smelling fruit but if you love it then you’ll love this dessert! Their Vanilla Ice Cream with Mango and Sago is worth a mention too.
